The Maricel Palace can also be visited on guided itineraries on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the afternoon during the next weeks. The Sitges Heritage Consortium has tested this new schedule, with the aim of offering new cultural proposals and approaching heritage during the fall.
The afternoon visits have begun this week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As it happens on Sunday, the visits are done in three languages: at 3pm in English, at 4pm in Spanish and at 5pm in Catalan. The format of Tuesday and Wednesday will remain as a test until mid-November.
Sundays visits remain the same in the calendar: at 11am in English, 12am in Catalan and at 1pm in Spanish. What has been changed, however, is the guided visits around Cau Ferrat and the Maricel Museum, which will be held from Thursday to Sunday, also in three languages: at 3pm in English, at 4pm in Spanish and at 5pm in Catalan.
The visits to the Palace allow to show the interiors of one of the most emblematic buildings of Sitges, built 100 years ago, under the impulse of the American engineer Charles Deering and the direction of Miquel Utrillo. Visits run through the halls (from Or, Blau and Capella), as well as the cloister and the terraces. The tours also allow you to approach the unique history of the building.
