Christmas is coming to the Museums of Sitges

Museum of Sitges’s offer for Chritsmas involves workshops, concerts, guided tours and various experiences. The program includes varied proposals, which coexist with the Museums' own activities and which allows festivities aimed at audiences and segments from every age bracket.

Christmas starts this weekend, with the opening of the Wishing Tree at the Racó de la Calma, in the Maricel ensamble. The tree will receive Christmas wishes that all visitors to Cau Ferrat and the Maricel Museum can leave, as well as those who take part in the guided tours around Palau de Maricel. The tree will display the slips with wishes until just after Christmas.

Discounts also start these days at La Puntual museum shop. The establishment incorporates new products and, in addition, offers discounts on various lines of merchandising with the image of the museums and their collections, which can be gift items for Christmas and Holy Wise Men..

The Christmas program also includes two children's workshops, which are added to the one held last Saturday on the advent calendar. The two new workshops will be on the figures of the nativity scene (Saturday 17, at Escola Pia) and the letter to the Holy Wise Men (Tuesday 3, in the Sala Vaixells of Palau de Maricel).

Another date that generates great expectations is the Christmas concert of the Sitges Canta! choir, which on Sunday 18 will perform several pieces in a free recital, but with prior withdrawal of entry.

In addition to the Christmas events, the Museums agenda for the month of December includes another workshop on shapes and colors (Saturday 10 at the Town Hall Square), a new session of the Santiago Rusiñol Reading Club (Thursday, at Cau Ferrat) and the Piece of the month, dedicated to Matinal Toliette, by Federico Zandomeneghi (Friday 16, at Cau Ferrat).

And there is guided tour also to Palau de Maricel on saturdays 24 and 31 december: at 11 h in English, and at 12 h in Catalan and at 13 h in Spanish.
