Tours to the parish

From the Romanesque to the twentieth century, a journey through Catalan art history while walking  through the Church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla. Outside: explanations about the living history of the bastion, the frigate, the first knights, vegueries or feudal administrative jurisdiction until 1715 and the transformation of the building. Inside: tours visiting different worshipped Saints and Virgins, the sarcophagi, the role of Ferré i Bassa, the Counter-Reformation of the sixteenth century and the set of baroque altarpieces. On the first floor: one of the best religious art collections in the country with sacred Romanesque Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque images part of the collection of Dr. Jesús Pérez-Rosales, now at the Maricel Museum. And finally, the Bell Tower: spectacular views of Sitges and the Mediterranean from the highest point of the ‘La Punta’.
